Buildings Part F - Domestic Ventilation Compliance & Testing

Part F of the Building Regulations (means of ventilation) was updated in 2010 and has included the provision of commissioning and measuring all fixed mechanical ventilation systems.

The flow rates are checked by an anemometer and need to reach the minimum standard, as set out in Part F, and a maximum on boost facility, where provided by the fan type. All results, along with the installer’s details and correct amount of background ventilation, are recorded in a spreadsheet and supplied to the client so that Building Control can be informed. Testing should be carried out by a BPEC qualified engineer using UKAS calibrated equipment.

We can offer testing to demonstrate compliance with Part F of the Building Regulations and provide the relevant certification.
